Travis | Support Mgr. Close enough. I punched my bedroom wall in frustration. And in fact this is called a boxer's fracture. I just happened to hit a stud, which I knew immediately when I saw there was no hole in the drywall. Then I saw the bump on my hand and I could feel the bones moving back and forth when I squeezed them with my left hand

This all had to do with a husband reading in bed, the entrance of an inebriated wife, a cat that was sleeping peacefully on my lap, and said cat spraying on our box springs after being disturbed by said wife

Doc put pins in the bones:

I cut 4 fingers off with a table saw 6-7 years ago.

I remember a few years ago when you were away for a while. I had no idea that's what happened!

Yeah you win, I'm not trying to top that

Me being away for awhile was probably the rare and elusive vacation without WiFi. When I cut my fingers off, I was back to work as soon as I was conscious - literally, as soon as I was out of recovery, I was trying to work. My wife had to physically remove the laptop from my "hands" (hand and a half).

4 surgeries and 3 years of PT 3 times a week later, and I can still type 60-70 words a minute only using 6 fingers. Don't get me wrong, I have all 10 fingers, but I'm not able to articulate the 4 repaired enough to type efficiently. I can type with them, but without any feeling in those fingertips, I make more typos than it's worth. I also spent enough time typing with only 6 fingers during recovery that I just became accustomed to it.

I would be devastated if I lost any fingers lol. I need them for my guitar
