I ALMOST posted in the tech support section with references to the developers a question....

Dear (developers names with @ and everything) I know you use unity but do you have any idea how I can get my float nodes to connect to the vector nodes like in these photos?
the tutorial i was using is located: https://burningcarbon.wordpress.com/...-rotation/amp/
Everything else works great but I get a weird spin if I just set it directly as is making it look like the character is about to fall over....

I'm working on a hobby project of a Twin stick shooter. It is a story about the last gunslinger, an elite group that used voidsteel to negate the magic of power hungry mages and slay them.

I'm thinking about naming the final mage strut v 900 what do you think?

Think they would have been annoyed? I like off topic...
But seriously...the guys on unreal forums are pig headed egotistcal pricks. And youre all okay...if any one has a clue I've been stuck for HOURS...

Not the Dream Primer team's field of expertise, but we work with other teams that are familiar with Unity.

Stackoverflow can. Just pay attention to the conventions used, ask your question clearly and succinctly, and you'll get help. It's a fantastic resource.

              Hi

I've never used Unreal Engine myself so I can't help with specifics, however your "Target Forward" has only one field (a vector?), and the tutorial image (i'm assuming) you shared has three distinct x, y, z properties (float?), so I'd start looking there.

              Good luck with your game!

PD: We do use Unity for M&E!

                O.o

A developer REALLY answered! Sorry waste your time responding but I wanted to say thank you very much.

I figured that was part of the problem but the settings are all set same as theirs. Yet I get weird conversion nodes. I was able to figure out that it's because I'm using joy sticks while he used keys. So I was able to directly node the two values into a create vector node. But when both axis are negative it returns a positive value....so I'm going to have to add branches(?)... I figure if value x <0 AND y<0 multiply vector result by -1 will fix it....

                *Shrug

I really didn't expect an answer I was mostly just being facetious so once again thank you
