BOL outside of ANB

Just a quick question.
I have a whole bunch of bol from previous ANB sitting in my stash. Will this be considered as cheat if use to level up abilities on a regular hero?
I'm guessing that since they transfer to regular stash after an event they are ok to use?

Non ephemeral so it is ok, use or sell them. Of course with the new stash you can just start a library.
