    Hi, all. Hopefully, the balance updates address some of the concerns around Crusader, especially with Toth as well as Toth+Medusa's Head.

    Here's some insight into how the team addresses these kinds of issues.

    The designer Gerula uses game data to look at a variety of information around game play, builds, win rates, and more to make adjustments.

    Your feedback is an important part of the process, so thanks for voicing concerns and for finding broken combos. In a game with upwards of 1000 items, testing even a fraction of combos can quickly become impractical so your input and findings are especially helpful. The developers do read your feedback here and on Discord, so again, thanks for letting us know what you're experiencing in the game.

    Gerula also relies on his own design sense and parameters. The game is his baby after all.

    The goal is to keep issuing fixes but avoid balance patches for a time so that the team can work on some other pressing issues, such as examining RNG in detail, reviewing the performance of MMR, and important features like friends. Thanks for your patience as we strive to keep the game fun while encouraging inventive strategies and exploration of items and classes, with the intent of keeping things fair and balanced.

        If devs are serious about looking at rng, they may want to look at this game. I counted 19 hits in a row despite my 40% evade. I am not complaining because I lost - I actually won the match. As I wrote long ago, maximal length generators are not good for games...

          If devs put a wrapper around the rng that sums percentage probability and compares it with a threshold this should even out the long strings of 0s or 1s that a linear maximal length generators creates. Example code:
