Witches be witchin

Hello I'm newish still to the game.
Play a Pirate, MH: Black Spadroon OH: Drake's Pistol Trinkets: Riding the Storm & Brute Armband

I keep running into Staff Witches who just lock me out of tokens and beat me with a stick. Any ideas on how to counter it??? Im still at 82% win rate. Just noticing the few losses i have are to the stick beat down meta was looking for info thanx.

Vane's Flintlock can counter their power build.

Umm ya it can help. But no witches are just OP. They can lock u outta AP and Tokens for 4 turns. Heal more than the Crusader. And just beat u down with a pumped up stick. And EVERYTHING procs for them. Plus they start with more AP usually. Is this how people climb the ranked ladder??
