Does "Play Online/Details" always hit the server for the current numbers, or is there some other action that will trigger a refresh?

It caches the results the first time you press it. The cache is cleared when you start a game, so that's the only way to make it refresh now. I have a task to also invalidate the cache after a minute or so, I'll try to do it for the next update.

I guess I have gotten ahead of myself, but there seems to currently be a void once you reach a 1500 rating. The highest rated bots are 1000, so having reached 1500 I now go against all of the bots regardless of rating. It's not very challenging going against a 100 rated bot at this point

We've got 12 new bots coming in the next update, with ratings between 1100 and 1500.

In a related note, "Maximus" is having trouble living up to his name. Easier than some of the 1300 crew.

I think the AI is starting to show its limits, so some of the new bots are not really that much tougher than the old ones. To go beyond that, we'd have to make it plan multi-turn tactics, and that's not on our medium-term roadmap.

Also, if you're playing as a Berserker, you'll probably find most of the Crusader bots easy to defeat. There's a clear imbalance between the two classes right now, but we're trying to address it.
