    RS 1.0.8 Release Notes

    This release is currently scheduled for the week of October 12. This release is quite significant, so I'm posting release notes ahead of time.
    • The Battle layout is rearranged for Void and Relics. Relics are not yet implemented.
    • Player 2 now receives a Mana Orb rune that costs 0 Mana and provides 1 Mana.
    • We implemented the Void.
      • Only runes that originate from the player’s deck are sent to the Void.
      • Spells are sent to the Void once played and resolved.
      • Minions are sent to the Void once dead.
      • A player with a depleted deck will draw runes from the Void.
      • Each draw from the Void does 5 damage to that Void’s owner.
        • This damage can be mitigated by Shield and Protect.
      • Spells drawn from the Void are banished once played and resolved.
      • Minions drawn from the Void are banished once dead.
      • Banished runes are removed from play and cannot be recovered.
      • Players lose automatically when both their deck and Void are depleted.
    • We added a timeout to Battle that works as below:
      • All players begin the game marked as active.
      • A full turn lasts 60 seconds for active players.
      • At 15s remaining, a sand timer appears for both active and inactive players.
      • Players are always marked inactive if they do not manually start the Attack phase by clicking or tapping the Attack button.
        • An inactive player’s next turn lasts 45s.
        • If still inactive, an inactive player’s next turn lasts 25s.
        • If still inactive, the game session is closed, and
          • the inactive player is given a loss.
          • the active player is given a victory.
      • Inactive players reset to active if they play a rune or take any action, or simply resume making manual attacks.
        • Players who are reset to active will return to a full 60s timer on their next turn.
        • Previously inactive players who are reset to active can become inactive again if they fail to click or tap the Attack button, even on the turn they reset to active.
    • Season 3 content is in place.
    • We made improvements to the tutorial.
    • The Mana filter in Collection is now additive.
    • The Path of Glory now has clearly marked top shelf rewards.

    Another change:
    Season passes now let you double the glory that you earn per Versus victory. This means that regular season pass gets 100g for 5 wins, while premium season passes get 200g for 5 wins. But we plan on removing this cap altogether in 1.0.10 as players seem to find it arbitrary.
