I'm thinkin' it would be nice to be able to pick the model when crafting normal weapons and armor. This probably isn't done a whole lot... for use anyway... so maybe not worthwhile, but now it's like going to an architect, giving them money and materials, and saying "Build me a house. Let me know when it's done". People typically like to approve the plans before construction.
