Flat damage reduction for shield user

How about a flat damage reduction for shield users, something like active block value / 10. Basically shield users get to shrug off some minor hits. Generally speaking no mage wants to use a shield since the gain in defense isn't worth the cost to offense. SW has also lagged behind DW in the offense department while the current various defensive measures that DW can use (WW DR, buff'd parry, Devastate DR, Leap DR, charge stun etc) along with the AS advantage thus the recovery advantage makes DW just as tough as a SW (in terms of sustainability). So a flat damage reduction can help make shield user stand out more.

You mean reduction damage taken or dealt? Warriors have just got their reward for mocking them for long time. It would be fair to give them some more love.

damage taken. Like incoming damage 10k, armor reduces it to 1k, shield value 5k = 500 flat damage reduction. so only 500 damage taken.

My SW dies immediately when archers' freeze is off and pull wakes up to attack. Thought the same as you said all day dying with 1.8—1.9m toughness.
