Gemstones and saving space

Suggestion
Add gemstones to materials too and just make them accessible in the materials stash or through the jeweller
Instead of our stash and inventory.
You could then still readily access them and also combine mass amounts in one button.

+1 Vik this has been proposed before, but it would be a great solution to the limited stash space. For most players, it would open up a full page.

I'd like this, it would ease some inventory/stash management. It would be very useful for new toons on which you don't want to spend gems. However, it won't solve the space crisis. I want to have fun, I want to try all classes, and nearly all the sets in each class. Especially now, as we the players still don't know which are the best builds (please provide your own definition for "best").

My remaining space is so scarce that I'm reluctant to play more, for fear of dropping a good piece. How absurd is that?
