Yes, I understand not getting experience from Magroth when running The Severed Mountain when he runs away rather than being killed. However, I am befuddled that you receive no experience for killing him before he can disappear. Wouldn't it make sense that if you manage to kill him that quickly that you deserver some experience?
This is most pronounced during ANBs when doing a couple of hundred runs of The Severed Mountain in order to farm gold. Killing Magroth would make a noticeable change in your CLs.
You really should get experience for killing Magroth before he runs away. He is not even summoned. He is on the level the entire time.
