A letter to the developers:
I started using Eternium in 2017, when I happened to encounter a bug in the tenth level of the first act of the story, The Severed Mountain, which allowed me to obtain a huge number of gems.back then, there was no fourth planet, equipment was only level 70, and there wasn't even an ANB yet. TL could only reach around 100, but everyone was full of enthusiasm and anticipation.later, as the game was updated, more and more bugs were introduced, but overall the game performance was still very user-friendly. Back then, the game did not lag, and the TL challenge was basically a matter of individual skill. It doesn't require much luck, just skill.Bug fixes were also relatively timely.as time progressed to 2021-2022, changes slowly began to appear. In the following two or three years, Eternium almost stagnated, and updates ceased.
About two years ago, updates started again (I don't know if the operations team changed). A lot of new content was added, but the game became increasingly laggy, crashing, and freezing. In the updates this year, especially after the addition of the right-click skill, rapid clicking can easily cause Eternium to freeze.especially mage and BH.I don't know if others feel the same way, but I've reached a point where I can't move forward. I even changed my computer and Windows, but nothing has changed.
Finally, I want to talk about the Trials. I've won many championships, including Warrior, Mage, and BH. The current Trials sprint is pure torture; it's no longer about skill, but luck.I don't know if the developers themselves have ever played the game, nor do I know if they are aware of whether their design logic is reasonable..Warriors need to constantly enter and exit maps because they now require 30+ elite maps. You might spend two hours in and out of maps without finding a satisfactory one, a complete waste of time. Mages are the same; it's all about luck. The boss's meteor shower is like a woman's temper—you can't predict it at all. You might play for two hours and only find a good map, only to be toyed with by the meteor shower. Only BH is slightly better.however, there are many monsters that you cannot touch; if they appear, you will have to quit and start over. You spent three or four hours a day playing the game, but all you did was endlessly search for maps, accomplishing nothing, and repeating the same thing over and over again.
Regarding revenue from top-ups, it's probably not very good. The number of players has decreased tenfold compared to before. And the only thing that needs to be purchased is the season premium+. Other things don't need to be purchased, not even the season premium+. Even if 1,000 people buy premium every season, it's only about $10,000 every two months, which is only $5,000 a month. Even if it's $10,000 a month, it's only the salaries of two people. This might explain why there are so many problems now.
You need to understand why players spend money. New, attractive skins and effects, becoming stronger (without breaking game balance), and more choices. Does spending money make you stronger? No! Does spending money make you more attractive? That seems far from enough. If there's nothing, why would players spend money? Actually, the Trials could introduce a new mode: monster selection. Players could use diamonds to remove or add certain monsters, such as 200 diamonds for one type or 300 diamonds for one type. Don't say it's unfair; no option is absolutely fair. Besides, this doesn't break game balance; it just reduces the time spent selecting maps in the Trials. You can do it without spending money, but it will take more time to cycle through maps until you find what you need. Someone will definitely be willing to spend money on that, including me. Endless map entry and exit is frustrating. In three hours of gameplay, maybe only 10 minutes are useful; the rest is just wasted time selecting maps and monsters.
Finally, I hope Eternium will improve, but honestly, my expectations aren't high anymore, considering how many years it's been...
Hopefully, the administrators will see this post, instead of simply deleting it.
