Uncommon rings and necklaces can only have one attribute. There are six attributes which correspond to the 6 gemstone colors. The rings with those attributes could have a colored border that corresponds to the color of the respective gemstone.
Perhaps there are enough colors in the spectrum that the other six attributes could also be given a unique colored border.
In this way you could see at a glance which rings (necklace) have which attributes. At least for the six that have gemstone colors. And perhaps for the other six as well.
If you have a "pure" rare or epic or even legendary ring/necklace, with only one attribute, then these same colored borders could be applied to those higher level rings as well.
Obviously for higher-level rings with more than one attribute, this concept would not apply.
This concept does not have to use a colored border. It could also use some other means of identification so that when you look at the icon of the ring / necklace you can see what it is without tapping on it.
Background shading is already used to indicate the type of the Ring (U, R, E, L) so that is not available for identification. The border seemed to be fairly easily coded. It's already there, you just have to draw it in different colors.
