    It's really just a TASK you have to perform to create it; otherwise the game will slyly force you to come back to this area to do so before you exit the map.

      The portal is generated when crossing hover the little rock you can see on the midlle of the platform. But nothing else, portal seems just to be decorative, as you can see the green arrows of the game. Maybe i missed something.

        Like I said above, the game requires you to create the portal as a TASK. Is it decorative? I suppose one can say so, since it has no other useful purpose.
