It's a thing about Arcanist Mage, if you have 3 Xagans and play it correctly, you CAN'T die. You can spam Paradox permanently. The only limitation is that, it kinda loses its punch at a relatively low level compared to Defender.

Strange. After rest from playing for months, i find Garm is very powerful when facing him with my shield warrior

Great! Now you can also make it faster if you change your Fireball to Arc Lightning (at least level 7 for damage boost) and change your belt to Prismatic Chronocord. For the passives, glass cannon together with Power Infusion and Fleet Footed/Intense Training.

Changing your companion to either of the 3 can help. Eileen (over all damage), Robin (haste), Xagan (ability rate)

Yuu're absolutely right. I discard the CD/CR gears, replaced Vial with talisman of Power, I try running trial 115.

It would be better if you join discord, there are a lot of guys who can help you with this.

However, first off: You're using a Fire Lily, so no Crits, don't craft anything with critical damage. Your CL (champion level) is rather low for your attempted trial.

Focus on gaining experience. The stats you need is Power, Ability Rate, Experience, (Haste or Extra Gold for 4th)

And lastly, Vial of wind at that level isn't that much help. I recommend Talisman of Power or Emblem of Accendance.

me? as an afterthought why not Mage for a change?
wat? a shield warrior playin Mage? well, why not
I try to follow a new type of "Arcanist" build by so and so at normal LB
dodge, deflect, dodge deflect here and there etc etc
the result. OMG rare for me to die (at the moment)
Now i need assistance from knowledgeable mage players:

it seems "the person that i followed his build" have one or two gear with Cr & CD. I just follow it. am i doing it right? (Do i have to include a few gear with Cr & CD?). I follow the Fily Lilly route.
