This feels like a silly question to ask having played for a year now, but never thought about it til i crafted that lvl 71 earlier. During an anb event is ot possible to spend the 50 gems and delete your event hero and create a new one starting over at the shores of hope? If does new hero get full event time hrs reset?

Yes, you can delete the hero and start another but the event time does not reset. Dual classing is starting with one class then deleting and finishing with another, If you create multiples of the same class you could be banned because they do not allow crafting toons. Players have taken advantage of this to craft multiple pieces of high level gear in an ANB.
