I'd like to know specifically about the Parry rating. Also, is there any reflection damage when parry rating is activated? (Thank you in advance.)

When you parry a melee attack it does 0 damage to you
when you parry a ranged attack it reduces damage by 50%
Since you have lightning reflexes passive you can get by with 0-1 parry on gear. Most of the top players will instead choose endurance for more life and put parry on 3-4 peices of gear.
Parry chance = Parry / (Parry+1000)
ITZ actively gives 2k parry
warrior also has a passive of 53 parry.
the only viable glove enchant is 100 parry.
With those alone your at 68.3% parry as long as itz is activeLast edited by Romme; 06-25-2021, 03:12 PM.

It all depends on why you want to use parry. As you can see from Rome’s excellent reply, you can quite easily stack parry, even without gear. A few possibilities:
95% parry:
parry gets factored in first, before other sources of damage reduction (armour, block, blackguards, skills,...). Those other defense mechanisms only come into play on the 5% hits that pass your parry. 95% parry might seem nice at first, but the hits that come through, come through at full force. So you still need a plan for that. Maybe some bleed builds can pull this off with a big hp pool and shockwave’s heal, but that would go at the cost of other bonuses on gear.
60% to 72% parry (in the zone, with or without lightning reflexes/gloves enchant):
romme gave this as example, Since around 1/3rd of the hits come through, those other sources of damage reduction get more use for their buck. Saves you a lot of slots on gear for other things while still having great defense.
30% to 40% parry (lightning reflexes with or without gloves enchant):
You gain an active skill shot (no in the zone). This is also enough parry to keep the crit belt and whirlwind proc going except for some slow hitting bosses.
minimal parry:
Some builds depend on damage coming through, this mostly goes for for shield warriors. Big investments in block (and high armour from shield) as a source of damage reduction and the chance to do a shield smash (and deadly throw) when blocking, means parry doesn’t go well with a shield.
So in conclusion, shield warriors go minimal to 30% parry, other builds around 35% or 65%, mostly depending on which skills you use (if you have room for in the zone and/or lightning reflexes). And adding parry to gear takes away a spot for another boost, so you need to have a good reason for that.mobile (Apple) player - shield enthousiast - Heavily suffering from butter fingers
