Manually slot Deadly Throw with Defender build

Anyone tried manually slotting Deadly Throw with Defender build?

I've found it useful so far. More dynamic gameplay, and control over DPS, especially for boss fights. Allows us to manually trigger Shield Block (for damage bonus) then immediately do Deadly Throw, and not rely on having to block first.

Tradeoff is that Deadly Throw replaces the more typical Battle Rage. Battle Rage is going to be higher DPS overall (esp. its L10's 30% damage buff).


Rotations:

• Shield Block > Deadly Throw
• Shield Block > Deadly Throw > Whirlwind > Deadly Throw
  • Can manually activate Deadly Throw twice with one Shield Block due to Belt of Whirling Storm (Whirlwind reduces cooldown of all abilities by 2s).

Suggested deployment:

• Deadly Throw, Whirlwind, Shield Block
• Integralas Mantle cape. Further reduces cooldown so we can more frequently trigger Shield Block.

Nice to experiment. I've tried replacing charge with DT when leveling up in ANBs, it can help with boss kill (Kara) rather than waiting for either her attack or ability regen. There seems to be a short window where it helps before character gets more powered up.
