    Release Notes 1.5.22

    Greetings fellow adventurers,

    We are excited to announce the release of a Player vs Player feature: the Arena.

    This is a place where heroes can match their tactics against other heroes in one versus one duels. It is not real time multiplayer, unfortunately - but you will fight against another’s player hero but that hero will be controlled by an AI. Depending on the fight result your hero will gain or lose rating on a PvP ladder. Once registered to the leaderboard other players will be able to challenge your hero even when you are offline or playing another game mode. Your hero will use the abilities and equipment from the last PvP fight you won.

    To make the fight more balanced between heroes, all abilities have their damage altered (we will release a full table with the damage modifiers for all abilities and effects). Also, the overall damage is scaled down and survivability is scaled up to account for the fact that heroes inflict a lot of damage compared with their toughness, while monsters have a lot of toughness and inflict relatively low damage. We did our best to balance the numbers to obtain an enjoyable and balanced duel experience. Right now we need your feedback so please let us know what you like or dislike about this new feature.

    We have also redesigned the user interface to make it more clean, crisp, and clear. Again, let us know if you are missing something from the old interface or you encounter any bugs.

    Few of the balance changes have spilled into the general combat mechanics, most notable being a nerf to the ability rate attribute. It has half the impact, but all ability cooldowns have been halved as well. The main reason for this change being that the game wasn’t that enjoyable for new players when the cooldowns were too long.
