Targeted locations in Home

With the introduction of the New Leaderboard there seems to be problem with targeting gate and Salvage location. You have to stand immediately to the right of it to open and salvage your unwanted gear. Also, trying to target gate, you have to walk up to it to click on it.

Does it get better if you increase the view distance?

I run the view the same way all the time, zoomed out all the way. But I tried both zooming, in and out, with same results. It takes 3-8 clicks and moving around to target it. It will eventually let me access it but everytime takes multiple trys.
