Hero in a locked slot

I have a very unusual situation regarding an ANB Gold character. It shows up on the newly added 2nd page of the character selection screen. Unfortunately there is a lock (a keyhole, really) icon over it and a message appears which says 'Do you want to unlock this hero slot for a thousand gems (you only have 833 gems)'? Lol! I had played this character for about an hour when I switched to one of the regular season ones to collect bounties, upgrade skills, etc. And now I can't go back to playing the current ANB as my mage is now trapped.

If this is answered elsewhere I apologize but I couldn't find any information about it.

First post but a long time player. This is my second go-around with ET. Just couldn't stay away.

This is a known issue that will be fixed ASAP. This happens when you do not have any open hero slots when you end an event, which usually deletes the old event hero, but this bug pushes it into one of the new slots. In the meantime, you should be able to fix it by deleting the event hero that was kept.

Let me know once you've deleted the hero and I will reimburse your 50 Gems.

Thanks Travis. Do you think it would be possible to delete any of the other heroes to open a slot rather than the most recent (ANB Silver) one? I used a lot more gems in that event than I usually do. If it's not possible I will have a short memorial service for warrior Binnit The Great and move on. *sniff*.

If this bug did not exist, then Binnit would have been deleted when you ended the event anyway. If you wanted to keep Binnit, you needed to unlock a hero slot before ending the StL event. That said, you're welcome to try deleting another hero - I just don't know if it will work.

Travis, that worked. I deleted a different hero and closed and reopened the game and the ANB Gold hero is back and Binnit lives to fight another day. Thank you for help. Now I need to go crush out a few trials to get up to level 70. Have a good day or night depending on where you are.
