Leaderboards are important parts of the game and that is one of the main motivations for high-level players to keep playing. However, there are still some areas that could be improved.
1. The location of current leaderboards are very counter-intuitive. If you want to see the leaderboard for all classes, you must exit to main menu, browser the menu to see it. If you want to see the leaderboard for your hero class, you must enter hometown, go to the gate and click on trial tab. Is there any logic reason for this ridiculous location of leaderboards? For example, you can have them together in a single window, just different tabs for the common and specific hero classes.
2. The high record of each player should be expired after certain period, let's say 30 days. Some players may be against that changes, nobody want his name to be removed from the leaderboards. However, that will motivate people to continue playing, push them to go to trial to repeat his past records and go higher. If a person still plays actively, but for some reasons he does not create higher record for the expiring period (e.g. busy with farming, play another hero), the accumulated XP and resources should help him to set new record without big problem. If the person does not play actively, just doing daily quests, that will motivate him to be more active to keep his name in leaderboard.
Some notification should be needed to remind players. For example, before expiration, send an in-game mail to player something like that "Your past record, hero name XX trial level YY time ZZ will be expired after 7 days. Please go to trial and set new record to keep your name in the leaderboard". If no new record set, after expiration, send another mail "Your record has been expired. Please go to trial to set new record".
I hope that can help to improve the game.
