The first Survive the Land event starts tomorrow! This is the first iteration of the event and we already have improvements in the pipeline. Please use this thread to share your feedback and let us know how we can make the StL event more fun!

Planned improvements for the next StL event (so far):

1. Add the salvage bench back
2. Improve quality of Jewelry drops
3. Increase Legacy and Unique drops
4. Gornathon will sell Enchantments

Not really surviving off the land though is it? It's begun to become pay-to-win. If I have the disposable income I can merely go to the shop and buy as many equipment chests as I want. In essence cash to buy has to the greater extent replaced crafting. Very, very disappointing.

Cool idea, but before even starting it my feedback is Why on earth do something like this when the drops are still so useless? Getting drops like a pair of pants with extra gold, life on hit, deflect rating, and life regeneration doesn't really lend itself to this type of event

At first I enjoyed the challenge of the limitation, I really like the concept. I was focusing on exploring story levels more instead of just blowing through them. It’s been fun finding interesting drops in those wooden pallet crates. However, I found that getting good gear from trials and the merchant was pretty quick and farming gold is easy even in act one if you’re a seasoned player, so it didn’t feel limited for long. Basically it got to a point where anything worthwhile was found in a trial drop and can’t really buy anything with gold that is worth anything,the only good stuff you had to buy using a lot of gems and I’m tired of farming for gems for the events then running out quickly. I do spend real money every month on fun extras bc I like to support the game, but I’m tired of relying on gems when it would we way more fun to be truly forced to rely on drops in the game. The option to buy epic gear from gornathan made the excitement of finding gear in the story wear off fast.

on a sidenote, I would love some different quests because I’m starting to pull my hair out doing the same daily quests over and over lol thank you! ?

Good idea. I like that medals are disabled. Drop rate of lvl75+ gear is poor including for trinkets, belts, bracers and capes. Gear should drop with and without enchanting! Gold is only important at the beginning much less so in middle and later stages of the event. One should be able to buy enchanting scrolls for in game gold only, that way you can spend the gold on something useful in the later stages of the event.

I would have been a beast if I'd gotten my bracers and talisman of storms this time. Just wasn't in the cards due to me bragging that they usually drop a bunch. I was tempted to buy the 2 unique item offers but it was removed right before I made the decision.

Anyway since this is about suggestions, what if there was a morphing NPC that turned 3 uniques into either a random unique or a selected unique of the same type? Kinda like rings and necklaces but not.

This event is not worth it. Just some numbers:

• 8 hours played
• 1h45 needed to gain level 70 (normally around 0h50)
• 6 hours farming, half in level 110 or higher
• Level 77 items: 0
• Useful items for main character: 0

Who is lucky to get the right staff will lead the list, I do not see the needed skill here. It's just wasting gems in reforge items to make them at least somehow useful. Not even having the chance to salvage all the items is ridiculous. The jewelery you can find is useless, since even with a high level the can not even close catch app with the ephemeral one or something forged.

Allow salvage and increase the number of item you get from each run on a trial to four and I might play that again. Otherwise I save my time for more valuable events.

I think the event was meant as a change of pace as well as to challenge us. Not to make our main characters better but to make our game play better by forcing us towards skill instead of stats.

Will the enchantments sold by Gornathon be for gold or gems? Already a very gem heavy event with all of the reforge required to have usable gear.

Why are you waiting? They will not be anything changed during this event. Next time there will be the possibility but for now you may as well sell the items for gold.

Make a true version that runs concurrently with Gold ANB -- no boxes, no pay to win. Luck, grind, and skillz.

The real challenge would be to limit the amount of gems that could be spent during the campaign. Start with some number and then limit how many can be spent in 24 hours.

Otherwise the gameplay can be somewhat improved via buying trinkets/boosters, reforging, etc.
