Eternium v1.7.9?

So, the Android version of Eternium is now at v1.7.9 and the release notes only indicated "various bug fixes".

A major version increment from v1.6.x. to v1.7.x would typically indicate a major change the to the application while "various bug fixes" typically is a minor update as indicated by a version change form v1.6.6 to v1.6.6+x.

The Steam version just updated to v1.6.9 the same day and the release notes for v1.6.9 indicated "-Fixed an issue with input customization."

Was the Android version supposed to be v1.6.9? Where there major changes in v1.7.9 that are not being flagged? How long before the other platforms are updated to v1.7.9+?

The Android update just seems really odd.

Don't read into the version numbers too much. The update that recently dropped only fixed an issue that affected cross-platform Steam players. Key binding settings were being duplicated anytime a player played on Steam, then moved to another platform, then back to Steam. The issue was starting to cause problems on the backend that were snowballing, so a fix had to be rushed out. We released on Steam and Google first, because those are the quickest platforms to release on. The other platforms will follow.

The next "big" update for all platforms will focus on crash fixing. Developing both version of the game ("live" and "Unity") is a balancing act. The sooner we can launch the Unity version, the sooner we can make some serious changes (including new content), so we don't want the devs spending too much time on the live version of the game.

I would like v 2.0 where BoM crafting is far less painful and stressful and nauseating.
