    need some advice on mage

after more than a year neglecting Mage
just step by step try to start all over again
just reach trial 113 (normal playin)
BOM? not yet craft. used normal
    companion? still the normal one

am i doin right? lemme see.

    1. try to gather mobs (not so many cause i'm still not used to mage style of playin)
    2. Blast in sequence: frostbolt > frost nova >Immolate lastly Frostbeam: am i doin this right?)
    3. how to aim this Frostbeam kind of thing proper. for ex :

a few time when i aim directly at "Elban": the Beam just not went direcly to him: sometime it went the opposite direction. wat did i do wrong?

Below is my hero's attribute. anyway to improve: i know it's a long long way for me to achieve anythin. It's ok. i just want to try to have fun with a "Mage"
    Thank you

I would add that when you frostbeam you want to cast vortex so all the mobs bunch into a little ball for the beam to hit. I just finally bought a maggie companion for a second vortex and gained 3 trials by doing so. I would also start using arc lightning as a secondary attack for the attack speed buff and damage buff(at lvl 10). As far as aiming the frostbeam, it can be frustrating to get the hang of but I find the beam will generally go toward whatever spot my cursor is hovering over and it will sometimes jump a little left or right to hit an enemy. Eventually you get used to it.

You want all frost dmg on equipment too and a frostbeam BoM whenever you have a chance.

I case Frost Nova immediately after vortex to keep the mobs bunched up. Frozen targets also takes extra damage from beams. 2 birds, 1 stone.

    +1 to splendor point

you will want to use arc lighting as your 1st attack since it will gives you damage boost and attack speed boost.

and for dealing with mobs, since you playing on PC : go nova -> immo -> beam -> vortex (when beam still up) -> nova -> immo

Get beam BOM! Epic is fine and even cheaper to craft.

Fantastic progress on the LB with your Mage, TheExorcist. I'm still learning mage attacks. Glad you asked these questions. It's a big help to learn about attack sequences and the different boosts. Glad to see your screenshots. Now I see you have both Vial of Wind Spirit and Talisman of Storms equipped. I'm inspired by your achievement. Congratulations on a stellar ANB.

Seems like a good place to start.

I usually play BH offensive, dabbled in Anarchist for a bit (not much after the nerf).

So, the future Silver ANB, the goal is Min TL90, max TL110, what would be recommended for an ELR mage?

for ELR beam mage you will need to unlock this thing to get it work :
            1. Elemental Lord Regalia set
            2. Grand Magister's Command Set
            3. Frostfire sash belt

            supporting items needed (optional) :
            for Critical Build :
            1. Tailsman of Storm
            2. Vial of the wind spirit

            for lily build :
            1. Firelily Trinket
            2. Tailsman of Power

and you actually can go to TL110 using only Epic gear (if you know how to do it)
and read bojck guide that pinned on Mages' Quarters channel

            Thank you kurtcabage.

Not sure if Epic with EXP is possible to TL110.

Interesting to Lily/Talisman of Power. That would mean upping Damage, correct?

TheExorcist your damage seems to be ok untill TL130 but i am afraid the one that will be your problem is toughness, you will need some armor to fight tbd and garm on higher TL
