I have seen many arcanists that do not use any dmg boost on tgeir gear. However most of the dmg comes from eridanus ripple weapon. Is the dmg of the ripple non-elemental?

It is now Arcane damage. You can test this kind of stuff in Training grounds - it's easiest if you have a fire lily, so damage is more constant. Idea is to remove any skills/companions/crits that can mess with the experiment : )

Arcanist gear is excellent to bring down bosses quickly, but you sacrifice AoE damage for crowds. Eridanus does compensate somewhat if you're close enough.DEPE CIQU ZILU 2182Comment
