Missing Energy

An hour ago when I played Hidden Express, I had a 50 energy in my inventory. I just played again and went to use it and it is gone. What could have happened to it? Has it been taken for good or can I please have it back? It's bad enough that my game froze on the latest mile tournament after I had just won on the 3rd scene in the 3rd level so I lost 90 golden miles and today I've lost energy. I don't understand at all,
