1.8.x Release notes

We have started the staged rollout of game version 1.8.4 on the Google Play Store. The update is currently available to 15% of randomly selected Android users. We will gradually increase the rollout percentage as confidence in the build grows, reaching full rollout before Gold 24 starts on Friday. As always, please report any NEW bugs with the update.

Release notes:
- Various crash fixes
- Fixed font size on Season Bank text
- Fixed an issue causing game preferences to reset on Steam
- Fixed a bug that caused heroes to end up with orphaned quest items
- Added a Legendary Chest consumable (10x Basic Resource Crate)
- Added functionality to reforge elemental damage types
- Improved early gameplay offers
- Improved the flow for Eternium Shop orders

Can you give some more details on this point? What are they? Are these offers we'll see during ANB events?

We changed the way the Elven Deal and Storm Deals are shown. No more annoying floating icon that gets in the way. We also updated the offers to:

Stormblade/Stormgun
price: $2.99
requirement: Story level 3 completed
duration: 49 hours
limit: once per account
contains: Stormblade/Stormgun, 10000 gold, and 500 gems

Elven Deal
price: $9.99
requirement: Hero level 22
duration: 48 hours
limit: once per account
contains 25000 gold, 2000 gems, and Elven archer minion

Xagan Deal (Renamed Master Crafter’s Bounty and made available on all platforms)
price: $19.99
requirement: Hero level 42
duration: 49 hours
limit: once per account
contains: 100000 gold, 4000 gems, 3 gemstone packs, 3 Master Crafter’s Crate, 3 Celestial Crate

I guess I'm one not enticed with any of these offers. Another lost opportunity to attract cheap money to the Eternium coffers.

I agree that for any player that have played the game for longer than 2 days, theses EARLY GAME deals are terrible. But it is for brand new players.
But then again, all "offers" are not enticing unless you like spending more than $20 per month.

That was listed as a potential exploit in our bug base, so I completely overlooked it when prepping the release notes. I've added it now.

I do like the fact I don't have to "claim" the reward since you did take away the ability to claim it in the manner I wish.

Yeah, I like the auto claim feature too.

That "extra step" to claim the DQ rewards allowed an unintended branch to open for an ANB toon to claim the rewards in lieu of the original toon initiating the DQ.

Alas, that "exploit" has now been closed. So, no more benefit by an ANB toon to claim DQ rewards without doing the upfront work!

"Legendary Chest" mentioned above as X10 basic crate is called "Loaded" Resource Crater. <- Crate stupid spell checker.

I figured that. I do like it as it will be better for disposal of my gold faster. What would be better is to have them stackable and have the option of opening 1 or all like fusing Gemstones.

What’s the point of the Loaded Resource Crate? It’s 10x the contents of the Basic, but it’s also exactly 10x the price. I don’t see the “deal”.

It was requested by players who buy mass amounts of Basic Resource Crates during events. It's not intended to be any kind of special deal - just more convenient.
