What would you like to see in the next patch?

I'm thinking of things that are most likely fixed just by changing a number in the code somewhere:

    MAGES
    - Combustion
Mono-fire is a fun build that only needs a little push to be competitive (I can beat TL 127 with decent equipment).
Combustion stacks could really do 1000% dmg instead of 500%, they do not constitute a quick method anyway.
Another thing is that they stack infinitely causing a hilarious amount of lag vs bosses. So maybe after 99 stacks Combustion could reset itself resolving all pending dmg; 100*(500% to 1000%dmg)*(1 to 6sec).

    - Singularity
Improved recovery time would slightly benefit:
Arcanist builds running it (I'm not, but just saying. . .)
    Stormcaller
Other experimental builds like the DFA thing above.
The point is more variety in the leader boards. . .

    - Deflect
Quickest solution I can think of: twice the effect for your points.
It's sad to try the deflect belt (why does it have to penalize armor even?), the deflect skill and the FoK set only to find out it still doesn't do anything (except maybe get you killed).

    -------------

    - Trinkets
This may be going too far but Fire Lily and the elemental ones could be adjusted to be worth chasing. . .

I don't know about warriors and bounty hunters but I'm sure there's small possible tweaks here and there.
    Theoretical Modding
(because tweaking numbers won't be enough)

i would love to see fire build made competitive, but right now it doesn't do enough damage to overcome elite auras once you get much past 130. i killed 80% of 133 mobs in about 2 minutes one time, and then when the elite auras piled up, took me 4 minutes to take down the rest.

even just a buff to the % damage on DFA bracers would make a big difference, but right now, there's not a single fire build in the top 100 anymore - i was the last one, and i switched to beam build and immediately cleared 5 more levels first try each level, and even skipping levels. it's a shame how underpowered fire build is, because it is a fun build to play

+1 I am still in lower trials but switched to fire-build mage because I got a BoM for Fireball and Igniter's Sash. It is a really fun build.

I am thinking that a buff to fire trinkets (Talisman of Pyromaniac and Brooch of Purifying Flames) would help balance out the damage. These trinkets are underpowered compared to CoWS and ToS, which almost everyone is using. They could add higher % damage and/or more frequent procs to make them more competitive. I can't believe that it was the Dev's intention that everyone would use the same two trinkets; they just need more testing to balance out trinket damage.

The other change that would help is increasing the damage from the new "special" damage types (e.g., Fire Damage) that can be crafted into the new gear pieces. I crafted or reforged to get all Fire Damage on my Mage, and it helped a bit. It seems like it would be fairly easy to bump up those damage numbers to balance out different builds. Buffing the special damage values would also help to make the intended synergy from the other trinket combinations more viable.

      Immolate, DFA, Singularity
DFA Bracer (of course), wind & storm trinkets
      Osmosis & Slayer enchantments
Lower defense and higher AR than other ELR

Bucket loads of extra stash space. Will be happy with that. Currently can't run 3 toons worth of kit, never mind 5. Only using BH at the moment to save space. Got a naked warrior just stood there.

Extra stash space. That's the only priority yet. The rest can be delayed.

jk. Well, extra character slots. And Deflect rating to be adjusted like parry rating?

+1 to stash space!!! I have 2 characters who's only role is to provide more stash space.

I'd also love to see the ability to chose the effect for Bracers of Mastery instead of having that be random when you craft them.

So stash space is top of the list. . .

            Non-random BoM crafting too.
A BoM with the wrong skill might as well be useless.
If I wanted to gamble with gems/chips I'd go to an online casino. . .

I wonder how they will fix Arcanist. . .
I just lucked into a Singularity BoM.
I was thinking of two possible builds:
            a) Tank archetype: Belt of Secrets, Mage Armor, Paradox, nature dmg, crowd control
            b) Glass canon archetype: Illusionist Belt, bolts, arcane dmg, single targets (what I'm using now but no BoM yet)
So I used the new BoM to try "a". . . it doesn't really work. They have to fix Deflect and still not enough dmg. . .
Depending on how they fix Arcanist, only one specific build may be viable. . .
So the changes have to be overarching: Deflect, Paradox, nature dmg and arcane dmg at the same time. . .

            Hmm. . . Maybe:

            - Gloves: Whenever you kill an enemy, your attack speed and Arcane dmg both increase by 10% for 6 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times.
            - Robe: If Arcane Bolts is your primary weapon, all dmg dealt by you is considered arcane dmg as well as its original type. You cannot freeze enemies.
            - Helm: The base recovery of Paradox Shield, Teleport, Singularity and Time Warp is decreased by 1 second.
            - Shoulder pads: Arcane Bolts shoot 1 extra bolt.

Just a note that I've found an AB BoM +63%for my build.
Even when running Paradox/Teleport/TW (i.e. mainly AB dmg), it only allowed me to move from TL 121 to TL 122.
This can be explained partially by the lack of other important offensive stats in the BoM itself.
But it also shows how moderate improvements, at this point, will only push a few more TLs, still far behind ELR.
This confirns that a *major* enhancement is needed for this set.

I have been running Arcanist for exp/fun. Sort of like your tank build mostly with Singularity, Time Warp and Paradox. If you manage it right you can spend a lot of time right next to the pull making sure everyone gets hit by AoE such as VoWs.

Sometimes Blink build instead of Paradox. Much less tanky, but more mobile and Blink has a rapid cooldown so it uses the Arcanist 6 piece bonus more efficiently. Much of the AoE damage comes from Vial of the Winds in either build.

I am new and did not realize how broken Deflect is. I made a Fire Lily Arcanist set with exp and a lot of Deflection. Diedre and Encrypted. Many options on paper, but lacking in practice. Running the Versatile Belt now because I forget to keep the Lightning buff up without it and the Lightning haste buff helps VoWs proc.

I have tried using all the different skill combos for the Arcanist 6 piece bonus. I think the set could be improved by greater ability to effect cooldowns. More like the Warrior Leap build where it’s hard to keep up on mobile. The Arcanist Shard system is too slow to be of much use. Maybe reduce the number of Shards or something? Could also create the same effect by reducing cooldown on Paradox or Time Warp.

I have played around a bit with ELR and Stormcaller. I like the Arcanist play style better. I am thinking of unlocking Stormcaller for the next ANB though.

Also change the Set bonus on the Forbidden Knowledge set so it support the Arcanist set. Who uses the Forbidden Knowledge set now and for what? Don’t think it works in Trials, and if it did it would be a disadvantage. Make it synergize with the Arcanist set in the similar way to how the Grand Magistrar’s set synergizes with ELR.

There isn’t really a Belt for the set. The Arcane Belt of Shielding would be great if Deflection actually worked in any useful way.

              The FoK set :
              - deals dmg to surrounding enemies on skill recovery (which would happen a lot in Arcanist)
              - enhances deflect dmg (synergy with Paradox and the Arcanist and FoK sets' main effect)
              - allows you double down on the offensive by not dying (for example when teleporting inside group of enemies to single out the defensive elite)

            - Like everyone else, more storage place.
            - Make the Shield Warriors more competitive would be really good.
            - More diversity in appearances, by giving access to all the colors of equipment for example, it's a little sad that everyone looks more or less alike

For BH, some buffs to make Havoc and Demolitiionist builds more competitive. If there is ever going to be any balance, we need to make Heatseekers as powerful as Snipe. Stalker rules the leaderboards because of the Snipe procs, but Havoc/Demolitiionists do not have any major attack skills that proc. Demolitionist could work if Sticky Bombs had higher damage, but Havoc needs for Heatseekers to proc like Snipe does. Both builds would also benefit from a buff to Tracer Ammo and Explosive Shot.

Whatever changes are made, they should be to buff weaker gear and/or trinkets that are not competitive. Nerfing the most competitive build, like what happened with Arcanist in the last upgrade, is the wrong way to achieve balance.

Generally: Buff/nerf in a way to have 2 competitive builds per class
Wish list: Give mobiles at least one halfway competitive build

                - barring sets like Adventurer’s, which has its own uses, every set should be competitive, at least within its class. Otherwise, why have them? Seems like a waste especially when builds like Ww, demo, fire, others are actually really fun to play.
                - same “make it desirable” argument as above for currently-noncompetitive trinkets, belts,
                - more daily quests should be available via some milestone reached, say +1 daily/acct for every 500 CL, or similar.
                - there should be a daily for each story level. If I have to run Vandalism in the Streets again this week, I might go commit vandalism in the streets.
                - stash redesign as everyone else has asked for
                - maybe a daily- or weekly-rotating “gold honeypot” level, or some mechanism to make us want to do something other than a thousandth run of DC

                2) Fix the absurd RNG on Bracers of Mastery and/or give a way to raise effect %

since the BOM skills are enhancements, you should be able to craft a new enhancement scroll with a set % number to replace the ones you dont like.
Crafting a good leveled BOM with a useless enhancement is getting to be as much fun as a bad toothache.

                1. Make gold loot crates easier to click or have them fly to your character like other loot at level end.

                2. Set items in your inventory or stash should all have some kind of highlighted border once you click on one of the items. So that it's easier to identify the pieces you have rather than clicking on every individual equipment to check.
